Meet Reine

Hello! I’m Reine. It’s pronounced Rainy, yes like a rainy day, and it’s a pleasure to meet you! I grew up in the beautiful blue ridge mountains of Virginia in an artistic family. The arts were in my DNA & bohemian culture growing up… my Grandfather started a successful political comic books company based in NYC and Washington DC and he even came up with Smokey the Bear and yes, that makes me pretty damn proud of him! My Memere, a N’awlins French native, who is now 101 and going strong, is also an incredibly talented artist and designer. You can find her sipping on a martini or a scotch & soda on her front porch. My other grandmother Sloan, was a talented realistic painter … you’re getting the idea. The arts were encouraged and it’s a good thing because I have loved it ever since my small 2 year old fingers first picked up a marker! Discovering the freedom of the world that I could create & get lost in. I even drew all over my parents couch in marker! I’m a 3rd generation VA Tech Hokie graduate double majoring in Art and English (painting and creative writing). I landed my first 9-5 working gig (think Dolly Parton) at Discovery TV Channel doing Marketing and Communications in Washington DC.

Since then, I’ve dabbled in a little bit of everything… interior design, painting, managing social media content for a renowned art agency, public relations, graphic design, ux design, photography, illustration, marketing and of course, always pursing my constant curiosity.

Today, I can be found in Boston living in our over 100 year old home (circa 1914) with my two quickly growing children & my partner. I love to travel, visit farmer’s markets, comb through curated vintage shops for clothes, explore, take pictures, practice yoga, design, paint, make wishes on shooting stars, sail on the ocean blue and swim like I think I’m mermaid.
